Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress known for her leading roles in a variety of television shows and also for her powerful performances in movies. The actress is popular on Canadian and American television. Emily began to become interested after she saw her sister Katie performing in a film. Once she discovered her passion for acting, she began to take classes in acting and going to auditions. The first commercials she auditioned for were and was soon selected as a child actress on the Canadian television show, Are You afraid of the dark? which featured her only in one scene, without any dialogue. At the age of 15, Emily got her biggest breakthrough after she was made a regular of the WB TV program Glory Days. Although the show was canceled after only nine episodes, her performance was noticed by Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who decided to cast her in his TV show Everwood. Emily was an accomplished ballet dancer, as well as a photographer. Teen once named her as one of the top actresses below the age of twenty. Maxim ranked her 51st in its Hot 100 of 2014.
