April Lockhart
April Lockhart, born in 1995 on July 4th July, began taking piano and guitar lessons from seven years old. The passion for songwriting was awakened. at the age of 12, April came up with her first original song Different. The year she turned 14 was when she devoted a great deal of time to making song lyrics and working on the music she was playing. Then, she began to take trips across NY and LA with her Dad to help them to write songs. April also included additional topics in her track"Take my Hand. These topics included topics for her friends who dealt with issues such as peer pressure disabilities or even teen suicidal thinking. Lockhart is a partner at the well-known Clean Beauty brand Ilia and also is a lifestyle influencer who has a growing fan base. It's true that she was born with no left hand, and it is what makes her different. However, this isn't the only thing about her. The profile of Lockhart on Twitter does not conceal her status as disabled and does not concentrate on the fact that she is disabled. The point? That we all contain multitudes that our identities are complex and that we are greater than the physical person we are. Lockhart is interviewed via video in Nashville. "I don't want it to define my personal life. I don't want to be only recognized as an expert in disabilities. It doesn't impact my everyday life. I still do all the normal things and I've adapted to my disability. However, it's a component of me, so I believe it's essential to discuss. Lockhart inspires us to keep striving to be self-accepting. She has been through times when she felt insecure about wearing certain clothing styles which displayed her arms. Nowadays, she dresses whatever she wants and posts images of her outfits to social media, she is proud of herself. Self-love, according to her, is a kind of journey. "I do not think that you'll ever get in that place," she said. This is true for everyone regardless of their level of insecurity. It is important to have people that know and understand the way you feel. They'll be the ones to ask what you worry about?
